Jim Thome sets MLB record with 13th game winning Walk-Off Homerun!!!!
The other night, James Howard “Jim” Thome was called upon in a pinch to aid his team the Philadelphia Phillies versus the Tampa Bay Rays in the bottom of the ninth in a tie with the game on the line. In hitting a slam over the wall Thome, won the game for the Phillies and entered immortality by belting his 13th walk off homerun. He now has outdistanced the following;

Mickey Mantle (12)
Stan Musial (12)
Frank Robinson (12)
Babe Ruth (12)
Another notch in the 21-year long career for the 41-year Thome how as a 5x MLB All-Star became the 8th player to obtain 600 homeruns in a career!!!!

Phillies Fan Tasered: Excessive Force vs. Fanatical Fan-ship
Recently another event occurred where the lines between fan and player were blurred and serious consequences resulted. At a Major League Baseball (MLB) last Monday a Phillies fan against better judgment and advice went on to the field to show his fanatical fan-ship for his following of the MLB team.
Friendz we’ve seen this before, displays of fanatical fan intrusion following of various sports; everything from Morgana to the Fan Man have bestowed upon the masses during these sporting events their quest for the proverbial “5 minutes of fame”… or even for the sake of wanting to be apart of the event! But the bottom line is this, what’s at stake is the athletes safety vs. the fan enthusiastic involvement……just makes you think, hmmmmmm!!!
