Fit with controversy, the non-selection of Isiah Thomas and the dismissal of the rest of the immediate qualifying teams in the “Tournament of the Americas” with start defeat of Cuba National Team, 136-57 quipped coach “You can’t cover the sun with your finger” the traveling basketball circus was on!!!!
I just recalled like I had in the ’84 Summer Los Angeles Olympics the pride when the U.S. was able to do well but not knowing the history I was being a witness to and how the world, MY WORLD would never be the same! With the mastery of this team, winning each Olympic contest by an average of 50+ points the GOLD in Basketball was coming back to the U.S.! So now Black Mamba (Kobe), King James (LeBron) & Durantla (Kevin D) take heed to the legacy you now carry and know this may be the last time (if D.Stern and other Basketball proponents) NBA pros take the front in representing the U.S. on the hardwood!!!!
